Cheatham County Rural Retreat

A potential new development

Our Goal

To create a low-density, environmentally sensitive rural retreat that celebrates the agricultural heritage, natural beauty and creative community of Cheatham County.

The development will create a low-density, environmentally sensitive rural retreat that celebrates the agricultural heritage, natural beauty, and creative community of Cheatham County.

  • Low density design that preserves over 400 acres of forest and greenspace

  • On-site farmstead

  • Farm-to-table dining outlets that showcase onsite and locally sourced meats and produce

  • Partnerships with local musicians and artists

  • Preserve important frontage along the Harpeth River and develop advocacy programs for water quality and watershed protection

The property is 560 acres of land bordered by the Harpeth River, a 20,000-acre state wildlife management area, and state park land, creating an insulated area.

Current Use

The property is currently used as an outdoor activities and event location offering hiking, fishing, mountain biking, kayaking, and off-road vehicle trails, as well as glamping accommodations with modern amenities. The property also hosts larger gatherings such as weddings, corporate retreats, and wellness retreats.

Development will be limited to approximately 100 of the 560 total acres to facilitate that experience. The other 460 acres will remain untouched.
